Basic Coaching For The Golfing Beginner

Golf continues to be one of the most popular sports in the
world and it seems that almost everyone you know plays the
game. But what do you do if you're a beginner and your golf
lessons aren't yet paying off? The thing that beginner
golfers need to remember is that golf is a game of patience
and practice that is based on technique.

The more you practice, the sooner you'll master the
technique required in golf. One of the most important ones
is your swing. If you don't learn to swing properly, you
probably won't fare very well with the other skills you need
for a great golf game.

You'll need to learn how to properly grip your golf club so
that you can execute the perfect swing. Your golf instructor
will be able to position your hands in the right gripping
position so that you can set the golf ball up correctly. If
you watch the way other golfers execute their swing you'll
see that everyone is slightly different in the way they move
during a swing but that the grip stays essentially the same
each time.

The grip and swing are obviously important to the outcome of
your golf game, and so is the stance. Begin by using the
correct stance when you use your driver. In time you will
also learn a different stance to go with each club in your
golf bag.

There are some essentials for a swing and drive. For the
driver, the stance needs to be as wide as the shoulder. As
the club number increases, the distance to hit reduces and
the lost or the height of the ball increases. This requires
the stance to get narrower and the positioning of the ball
to change within the stance. These are nuances that shall be
perfected with time, effort and practice. You will
eventually get a good feel for your golf swing and stance
and how to use them together.

Having perfected the swing with the driver, as you move down
the list of clubs, the position of the ball is also moved
back slightly. When you are using a driver, the requirement
is to hit the ball into an upward motion rather than a lower
motion.

Don't forget your posture! It's important that you have a
good golf posture developed so that you have a good
foundation for your stance. If your posture is off and
you're not distributing your weight correctly you'll find
that you always have a weak swing. You want to give yourself
as much advantage as you can when you're a beginner so that
you don't become discouraged and put away your clubs for
good.

When it comes to your weight distribution you'll need to get
a real feel for what you need for your game. When you
execute a good golf swing you'll find that your body will
move back from your rear foot in the back motion while at
the same time your front foot will hold the weight on the
forward motion.

Keep in mind that each different golf club that you use will
require a different weight distribution as well as a
different golf swing. After a while you'll learn to
recognize what you need for each club,

Mastering the game of golf takes time and practice. Give
yourself lots of time to perfect one part of your game at a
time rather than tackling all the techniques at once. Don't
forget to ask for advice from other players that are having
the kinds of games that you want to have.
